Malvern Prep Swim School General Information

SwimSchool.jpgMalvern Prep Swim School  offers a complete aquatic program designed to fit the individual’s needs.  Our basic philosophy, “Learn to Swim” is combined with safety and proper technique.

Kinderclass, for three year olds to kindergarten age, teaches the natural progression of swimming as well as overcoming fear.  Beginner to advanced levels are available.

School Age Learn to Swim is designed for children first grade and above.  Emphasis is placed on teaching the natural progression of swimming and water safety.  Beginner to advanced levels are available.

Malvern Minnows/Competitive Skills are  unique classes for novice competitive swimmers.  Swimmers  will be enrolled in this program when they have reasonable form and endurance in freestyle and backstroke. Instruction is given in backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and the finer techniques of freestyle.  Racing starts and turns are introduced.  Group placement is determined by age and skill level.   Swimmers may move onto the competitive team when their skills are developed and they have the director’s recommendation.

Group placement is determined by age, ability and level of development.  The groups are sequential so that swimmers will move from one group to the next when they have demonstrated self-confidence and mastered the skills at the previous level.
